Rooted in craft. Designed for longevity.

Clothing made to be worn, lived in, and held onto.

Gurkama is a craft-led contemporary label shaped by textile surfaces, material reuse, and thoughtful making. Each piece emerges through layering, embroidery, and handwork, with longevity at the centre of the process.

Collection 01

An exploration of layered textiles, reclaimed fragments, and hand-worked surfaces.

Craft

Working with materials already present in the studio, Gurkama approaches clothing through layering, stitching, embroidery, and textile composition.

The process is slow and deliberate, allowing craftsmanship to shape the final garment.

From the Studio

Gurkama is shaped by a deep appreciation for textile surfaces and the quiet possibilities within fabric.

What begins in the studio is often guided by material itself—layered, stitched, and transformed through handwork. Fabrics are reworked and reassembled, allowing texture, form, and craftsmanship to shape each piece.

Beyond process, the intent remains constant—to create clothing that is not driven by excess, but by longevity. Pieces that are worn often, valued over time, and become a natural part of the wearer’s life.
